1. Overview of the institution

Founded in 1964, Trent is one of Canada’s top universities. Being a liberal arts and science-oriented institution, Trent provides education that is experiential, personal, in-depth and challenging. Trent has two campuses in Ontario, a vibrant mid-sized city just 90 minutes from Toronto:

  • Peterborough- A sprawling 1,450-acres campus, straddling the Otonabee River  

  • Durham: Trent’s new, modern facility that gives students access to one of the top liberal arts and sciences university educations in Canada. 

Trent boasts of close to 100 clubs & groups to choose from, including a student-driven co-operative café, Trent Radio, the Trent Film Society, the Trent Fashion Show, the Peterborough Coalition Against Poverty, Trent Meal Exchange, Trent International Students’ Association and more.

There are more than 30 International clubs, groups and organizations.
